the App for that: Google Mobile

Without writing a dissertation or getting sappy over a piece of super awesome technology, I’ll just mention that recently I picked up an iPhone, and pretty much think it’s the best thing since sliced bread. Just when I think I’m completely satisfied with the current offering of apps in the enormous app catalog, I find something else that could make the phone a little sweeter.

Exhibit A: Google Mobile

This had to have been one of the first apps I downloaded, and with good cause – do a quick search, either by voice or keyboard, and you have search results instantly. What’s great is that if you’re looking for a location or store, say Target – and you search for it in this app – it will bring back the results of the Target stores closest to you, provide you with the phone number, address, and even offer to get directions from your current location.

This makes navigating SUPER easy, say, while on a road trip to Colorado :) And best of all, it’s FREE!
