Time with family is just so awesome. :)
I remember my childhood birthdays vividly – and they always included time with family and a birthday cake :)
Mad props to the cake-baking lady. You know it isn’t REALLY strawberry cake until you put fresh strawberries on top. And it isn’t a birthday cake without candles.
I’m sure it’s hard to tell from the picture, but that strawberry cake was pretty delicious ;)
First things first… Laying claim to the first piece.
And now, onto the goods..
Even though he had some awesome Pokemon cards to tear into, Ryan read each card to us – pretty impressive for 10 years old – I can’t say that I would have been patient enough to read them BEFORE I opened the gift.
This next one got some attention:
But check this out: A real working metal detector – even the big kids were amused. And it does detect rings, watches, keys, napkin holders, braces, and the hinges underneath the kitchen table. We tested them all out to make sure it was ready for the field. :)
Check out that moola!
So after the birthday festivities, we find out that there’s been an addition to the family – and it’s still relatively new to the world. So Morgan decided to display the feeding device before we went to visit.
Introducing: Calf-E.
Spelled just like that. He’s a bottle calf that still likes his bottle.
This guy can put down that entire bottle in about 30 seconds. Can you say GOT MILK?
A view from Calf-E’s pen…
How about a sunset? It was a pretty good one :)
