Last weekend was going to officially kick off wedding season for me – that is, begin an intense journey with some awesome clients through their e-sessions and weddings – and I was pretty pumped… until mother nature changed things a little bit for us. We cancelled an e-session earlier in the week due to the nasty weekend ahead, but I was still hoping the weather would cooperate for the second e-session a couple hundred miles away. Well…
With the weather forecast changing hourly, and it pouring down rain, we cancelled the e-session planned for Saturday with hope that “April showers will bring some May flowers” – and maybe some more predictable weather :) Overall, I was down in the count by 2 after the weekend was done.
Nonetheless, we were going to be shooting at an AWESOME park, and my curiosity was through the roof about the place – and rightly so – so I decided that I would venture out to check the place out, and do a little scouting. Here’s a few samples of what I managed to salvage:
Some leftovers from the storm
The Azaleas out there were pretty amazing.
I’m fascinated by brick walkways for some reason…
OK – so I’ll be honest… I didn’t get enough of the place in just one day, so I went back for seconds… and the sun came out right before sunset:
This shot below reminds me of the puzzles I used to work with my grandmother when I was a kid:
The puddles were still there the second day:
